Milestones

What to Expect at Your First Appointment
Your first visit is an intake and treatment combined. Dr. LaFranchi will spend time getting to know your full health history — your cycle, your stress levels, your sleep, your digestion — because in Chinese Medicine, everything is connected. From there, she’ll develop a personalized treatment plan that may include acupuncture, herbal medicine, and lifestyle guidance.
Treatments are generally deeply relaxing. Most patients find the needles comfortable — many fall asleep on the table. Sessions typically run 60–75 minutes for a first visit.
You don’t need to do anything to prepare. Just come as you are, and we’ll take it from there.
